Cambridge Valley Machining provides comprehensive design through manufacturing services for startups, Fortune 500 businesses, and other domestic and global customers. CVM is a proud supplier within the Space and the Defense industries. We are seeking to fill CNC Machinist positions on first, second, and third shifts. The CNC Machinist is responsible to:
- Set up, adjust, and operate all the basic and many specialized machine tools to perform precision machining operations.
- Set controls to regulate machining; enter commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media.
- Study sample parts, blueprints, drawings, and engineering information to determine methods and sequences of operations needed to fabricate products and determine dimensions and tolerances.
- Design and build fixtures to meet machining specifications.
- Maintain industrial machines, applying knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures.
- Program computers and electronic instruments such as numerically controlled machine tools.
- Support 5S by cleaning machines, tooling, parts, and all associated work areas
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2 years’ CNC Machining experience
- Strong math skills, able to read blueprints, drawings, and engineering information
- Must be a citizen of or person admitted lawfully for permanent residence into the United States.
All Shifts Available:
- Standard week Mon - Fri
- First - 7am to 3pm
- Second – 3pm to 11pm
- Third – 11pm to 7am
Pay Rate: $26.00 - $36.00
