Resident Diesel Technician

CLAAS FARMPOINT Resident Technicians support customers with complex on-site diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance tasks (field and customer shop). This role provides expert level customer service to ensure the highest degree of customer experience and satisfaction. The position acts autonomously within company guardrails with an entrepreneurial spirit and represents the CLAAS brand as an ambassador. All Resident Technicians will be provided with fully-equipped service trucks.

• Responsible for performing complex on-site diagnostics, service, repairs, and maintenance work on customer CLAAS equipment; in-shop repairs will need to be completed according to business needs.
• Reviews and explains any maintenance, repair, or other service concerns directly to the customer and documents on work order.
• May establish and implement effective stocking processes with the Parts Department to maintain the proper seasonal parts inventory.
• Supports Machinery Set-Up and Adjustments.
• Promotes and sells service programs directly to assigned customers.
• Maintains current mechanical and technical knowledge of CLAAS and competitive products.
• Completes all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments timely and proficiently. Including accounting for time and material used in performing assigned duties.
• In collaboration with our Technical Support Center, schedule daily work assignments.

Note:  This position includes frequent travel by auto; a valid driver’s license with a verifiably safe driving history is required. Position may require overnight travel and weekend or evening work during peak seasons.
