Precision Feed Management Team Leader
Are you passionate about supporting small farms and protecting natural resources? Join Cornell Cooperative Extension of Delaware County as the Precision Feed Management Team Leader and make a real impact on farm economic viability and water quality in the New York City Watershed.
In this role, you'll work in our Walton, NY office and lead a team of conservation professionals providing feed management planning, animal nutrition and crop production guidance and education for small dairy and beef farms. You'll collaborate with the Watershed Ag Program to develop and implement sustainable practices, drive strategic direction, and ensure program success.
We're looking for someone with a Master's degree in Animal Science, Crop Science, or Farm Management, and at least two years of experience in Cooperative Extension or equivalent professional
agricultural experience. Coursework and experience in dairy and/or beef cattle nutrition, particularly the use of computer nutrition models is highly desired. Strong team leadership, communication, and collaborative skills, along with a passion for sustainable farming and water quality protection, are essential.
