HVAC Installer/Service Technician

Location: Effingham, IL and Central Illinois (travel required)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Salary: $25-$40 per hour (dependent on experience)

Merz Heating & Air Conditioning, a locally owned and operated HVAC company, is seeking experienced HVAC Installers/Service Technicians to join our team. The position will require traveling throughout Central Illinois (no more than 100 miles from Effingham) and will involve both residential and commercial services/installations, with a focus on repair and preventative maintenance.

Responsibilities:

• Install and maintain HVAC systems, including heating, cooling, and ventilation systems, in both residential and commercial settings.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems, diagnosing issues and finding solutions to restore functionality.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Communicate effectively with clients, providing recommendations and answering questions regarding their HVAC systems.
• Accurately complete paperwork and documentation related to work performed.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in HVAC installation and service.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Ability to travel throughout Central Illinois as needed.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document work performed.
• Commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
